THAT is scary.

bloodygurl02 02-04-2004 10:43 PM

being canibalised alive

kpropain 02-04-2004 10:45 PM

I climb trees for a living and would hate for a climbing rope to break.

Crickets, wasps, bees, roaches, hoarse flies, dragonflies, moths and scorpians are the ones which creep me out the most.

otis 02-04-2004 10:49 PM

Scorpions are creepy. I hate those bastards.

How about Hillbillies? If i was driving in the sticks and seen one i would speed up. Have you ever seen Deliverance(squeal like a pig), House of 1000 corpses, Cabin Fever, the list goes on. Hillbillies are fucking insane.

Dreaming Girl 02-04-2004 10:49 PM

Becoming conscious during surgery. You can't move, but you can feel everything that's happening. I heard this happens... very rarely, but it happens. :(

I also have a massive fear of drowning, especially in the context of being trapped in a car or some such thing. It's not a real problem now, but when I was younger it scared the hell out me everytime I drove over a bridge --- visions of it breaking or something and being trapped as water slowly filled the car...

Arioch 02-04-2004 10:54 PM

yes we've had this thread but anywho......

Failure is my only true fear, getting old and getting tired, giving up and giving in. That truly terrifies me.

My only other fear is going insane, just loosing it. But sometimes i think it would be refreshing to just let go of sanity. Just release and end up in mental hospital. I dunno, nothing else really scares me tho;)

sleepaway 02-05-2004 04:45 AM

Not being remembered when I die.

I also get Vertigo and HATE the deep sea.

I'm an arborist, I climb trees and cut them down, prune them etc. I've been out of work though for two weeks with a cracked ankle though.

Angelakillsluts 02-05-2004 08:11 AM

....

I'd say being helpless. I used to have this recurring nightmare about lying in the sea with my arm ripped off and not being able to move, then I look down and see two sharks coming up for me. I'm not really terrified of sharks.

StepfatherFan 02-05-2004 08:16 AM

Actualy, I have a new fear. Getting through Dr. Griffith's gynecological report for a certain patient who has chlamidia, and not being able to keep from puking!!! Uuugh (shudders) LOL

Plissken 02-05-2004 08:29 AM

Gotta be ventrioquist dolls (Even scared of the ones from Buffy and Goosebumps)

Vodstok 02-05-2004 09:12 AM

Dead things. Even a dead fly gives my the willies. A freind and I flipped over a dead hedgehog when i was about 11 or so and it was SWARMING with maggots. I was fucking terrified and ran like they were going to eat me. Ever since then, anything dead gives me the creeps, and god help me if i stumble over an autopsy photo.

Oddly enough, this has caused me to be afraid of zombies in movies. My most common nightmare involves being the only person, or one of a small group that survives a notld situation. i have them every couple of months, and wake up in a cold sweat. I usually get really paranoid and am afraid to look out the windows because i dont want to see dead people walking down the street.

After seeing the new Dawn of the Dead trailer, i began getting scared that my fiance would reach over and bite me after i woke up from the last one i had.

The weird thing is that, unlike other dreams i have, these ones always feel prophetic. I know that sounds weird, but it is really fucking scary.

Hate_Breeder 02-06-2004 04:28 PM

I would hate to be held down, stabbed in the worst places like the balls of my ankles and shit like that, every 5 minutes. But during the 5 minutes the guy is resting he would dress my wound so i wouldnt bleed to death.

That or being clubbed with a blunt object by a baby! :p

LOL That reminds me of that line from Con-Air, where John Malkovich says that he associates rapists with that white stuff which accumulates on the corners of ones mouth when they are thirsty.

Leper Messiah 02-07-2004 09:45 AM

New Johnny Depp movies.

SmackingGilbert 02-07-2004 11:11 AM

What's that? You are making fun of Johnny Depp movies? Shut Up Bitch. Learn your manners. Depp is a fucking great actor.

Anywho, i also have had a nightmare of sitting on my bed with my feet on the floor and someone cutting the back of my ankle/foot. You know where all those tendons and nerves are. Ouch.

i think one of the most important thing about parenting, well, for ALL people anyway, but especially parents, is empathy.

you get older and you have to set examples, but parents forget that their kids have minds too. bsaically what im sayin, put yourself in their shoes. look from all directions. remember what it was like when you were a kid, things that your parents did that were helpful, and things that your parents did that they THOUGHT were helpful, but really werent. good intentions are sometimes only that, intentions.

also, talking is good. that way you get the actual information instead of assuming. which is odd that im saying that, since i dont say shit to my parents. but thats just how ive opereated all my life. has worked so far though, not that theres much i have to hide anyway.. so i guess they got lucky.

or unlucky ;)

oh yeh., my worst fear...... hm. ill hafto get back to ya on that one. but odds are its something about preggers too. like gettin pregant when i didnt want to. ugh, that would really suck cuz i have all these plans already and shit.
