So guys here is my idea for the movie (i wont go into great detail now but I will at a later date)

To put it simply it is a psychological roller coaster. It is the unraveling of a tortured soul.

What saves this film on the violence factor will be the moments inbetween the acts of violence (and sometimes during) and the context and deeper meaning they hold.

The main character is basically someone who intially self-harmed himself, but that was not enough and then he starts killing people (I do want the deaths to be as brutal as possible with new ideas and twists). The difference is that he knows killing is wrong and loathes it but he has too do it it has become an addiction like smoking or drinking it has become a habit he cannot break. So during the killing I wont to show him feeling remorse but then also brutality.

Then to cut a long story short it then becomes not enough to kill other people so he kils himself (and I would love his suicide to be the goriest of them all)

So the story will deal with issues such as addiction and right and wrong and self-harm and discipline.

Tell me what you think guys

Umm - sounds ok bunn - it seems from your post to be sort of a "horror" about the mess that society is in - i'm guessing the police would come into the picture at some point, with that amount of dead bodies following the "hero" around. However, do you not think this would become more of a psychological thriller along the lines of Se7en, rather than a true horror. If so, that is cool also.

I would also be interested in acting as welll as helping with scriptwriting, ideas - hell I'll do anything!
I was the lead role in many school plays. LOL

This will be the interesting thing yes to start off with the film will be a phycological thriller but then as it develops with the character it will become more and more of a horror due to the way the main character turns. As far as there will be increasingly more violence and the way in which he goes about creating this violence and wanting to witness the fear peolpe will have.

This is where the movie will be different from others cos I am thinking it will be a kinda of weird phycological thriller horror.

Alright!! honestly i was hoping we would be heading in this direction but i didnt want to say anyone so i was keeping my mouth shut. Alot of people on here are turned off by psychological thrillers/horror movie, it seems if it doesnt have a huge monster or cg than the people around here (not all of them but a majority) turn their noses up at it. I cant understand it myself.

But if you think about it, this would be best for the amount of money we're workin with and the genre were goin for. Its gonna be hard to get alot of CGI or big monster fx with no big studio sponsorship dont you think guys? Im sure we'll have alot of good talent in on this and i know we're gonna make it kick ass.

Just pisses me off that when you use the word Psychological everyone on this board looses interest, open your minds people.

dear bunn100..by the way i just read how you want the story.. i have got a true story for you..... it happened in Pakistan.... this guy named Javed Iqbal, he killed 100 children and hold the record right now.. he killed them and then threw their bodies in acid.. and when he gave himself up to the police.. while questioning him he jumped out of the window and killed himself... you can check this story out on any good search engine.. even as kid he was torturted and sodomized so i think that lead to the killing... i think he even said that it was wrong,,, but i had to do it cause i couldnt stop.... check it out..

I thought to do a true horror the budget and experience just was not there so the best way is to do a film like this.

Plus I think if we can capture the right atmosphere and mood this could be extremely haunting and disturbing.

Have been thinking about the serial killers genre - it is a well-known fact that nearly all are male - so as a twist we could have our main character as female - it would set it apart from the masses. (And women can be really mean)!
Probably not a good idea but am just throwing thoughts around.

FUCKIN WELL SAID Bunn! god im pissed off about this, after all we did to try and help. Me made it obviously fucking clear that people did care and that it wasnt worth it, but watch i bet you anything horror.com gets blame thrown its way for this bullshit, we were the only things helping prevent it and when you think about it, if it wasnt for this board and allmykids it probably would have been a pretty gruesome scene.

Im gonna make a couple more post about the movie, i think some people who would be interested are skimming over this thread because of the title so just to be sure that we get everyone im gonna make a new post about it. Im super excited about this.

I'm really interested in this project. Now what places do you plan to shoot this? What equipment will you guys be using? Myself a long with my best man from LegionFilms are glad to help in anyway possible. We both: write, scout (locations, actors, etc..), direct, produce and market. I also do cinematography and have photography directing experience. I see your fron England, if you guys are shooting over there I doubt we have the finances to fly over there for any period of time (but I assure you, we'd like to :D ) to help. Yet we can still help over the internet. Basically we are willing to do what we can! Let me know!

PS- Legion Films also just hired a sole purpose writer that can help as well.
