From Dusk Til Dawn was sort of two movies. It started out as one movie and ended as another, but I'm not against that per say. Parts of it were totally unecessary. 4 Rooms was one of the most underrated (a lot of people have never even heard of it) movies. Funny as hell.

What specifically didn't I like about Pulp Fiction of Jackie Brown? I couldn't really say. They just did nothing for me. I wasn't all that entertained.

jackie brown was my favorite untill Kill Bill came along.

I agree that Pulp Fiction is over rated .. Res Dogs is a way better film..
True Romance may not have been directed by QT but his name and face and fingerprints are all over it completely..

Taranteno the Foot Man!

Oh great Mira Sorvinos ex is doing horror now. I cant wait to see it... I bet Jason will have lots of bare feet scenes in it. Perhaps it will be as good as that piece of shit From Dusk Till Dawn with the horrifying George Clooney. Whoopee!!!

No doubt the surreal violence in True Romance was written in by QT. That movie just had a great "indie meets hollywood" feel to it as did Reservoir Dogs. High Production values with indie filmmaker risk taking. To me Jackie Brown lacked that (at least what I saw of it. Maybe I should give it another shot) and Pulp's edgy scenes had that bad "weird for the sake of weird" vibe to them, but I do love when they are cleaning the car.

friday13thfan 03-13-2005 07:20 PM

it will be a hit or miss movie

not just the violence ... the dialogue was great too ..
esp. hopper and walken's scene..

and the characters ... oldmans character .. pure QT.

oh .. and all the Street Fighter / chiba references ...

the list is endless

According to Empire Online last weeks rumor of Quentin Tarantino directing the next Friday the 13th film were nothing but a load of crap.

When asked about what was up with the film Tarantino replied:

"What’s happening with Friday The 13th? Nothing at all! It’s a complete lie. I like Jason and everything, but I’ve no intention of directing a movie! New Line talked to me about it, but it was a complete fabrication, that article. I would love to do a horror film. I’m just saying it’s not going to be Friday The 13th…

i finally seen the previews for Sin City
it looks to be promising. Didn't tarentino
direct that?:)

Well so much for that:

Tarantino Says Friday the 13th Reports False
Source: Empire Online
March 14, 2005

It was reported widely that "Kill Bill" series helmer Quentin Tarantino would be directing The Ultimate Jason Voorhees Movie, a new "Friday the 13th" movie at New Line Cinema. Tarantino, however, has now set the record straight.

"What's happening with Friday the 13th? Nothing at all! It's a complete lie," he tells Empire Online. "I like Jason and everything, but I've no intention of directing a movie! New Line talked to me about it, but it was a complete fabrication, that article. I would love to do a horror film. I'm just saying it's not going to be Friday The 13th..."

With that cleared up, he says that he's still eyeing Inglorious Bastards, about a platoon of World War II soldiers trapped behind enemy lines.

"My next film is probably going to be Inglorious Bastards, yeah. I've written scenes. I've written a lot of it but now I have to sit down and start putting it together in a script that I can start shooting. And that's a different thing."

He directed like one or two scenes. He's billed as a guest director on it. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller get the full blown directors credits on that one. :)

No need to go getting technical. I never said he directed it. I just listed it with all the other films he was directly involved in.

it could have been a good movie.

id still love to see a QT horror film. preferibly a slasher or cult flim would probibly be best.

maybe a virus film

bwind22 03-15-2005 10:50 PM

I think Quentin would do an awesome slasher film but I wouldnt want to see him pick up in the middle of a franchise. He should create his own from scratch. After all, he's one of the only peope still thinking originally in Hollywood...

His slasher creation would probably talk even more than Freddy...I like the silent part

MichaelMyers 03-16-2005 12:45 PM

He's a grown man who makes movies for teenage boys. This franchise might actually be above him.

kung-fu-jesus 03-18-2005 09:18 AM

the QT slasher would probibly be a mix of freddy and DR. lecture.
basicly a sick fuck who is smart and tants his victoms. also his killing would be original and imaginative.

now for the fucks who were arguing about freddy vs. jason is part of the franchise or a whole new intitey. in truth it is both. the versus is a whole new idea. yet it is part of the nightmare franchise and only that franchise. jason was only featured like a guest. so it is a jason movie and not a friday movie. friday 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, x, and versus are jason films meaning that jason is the main killer. as for friday the 13th movies there are as follow, friday 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7. the are friday movies because they the place at cristal lake and on friday the 13th, the others dont count as friday flicks.

now the reason versus is a freddy film is as follow.

1. it takes place on elm street in springwood il.

2. it follows the nightmare story line.

some may consider it a jason film to because it ends at cristal lake. this is true but since it wasnt friday the 13th it isnt a friday film. still most consider it a freddy film because it takes place mostly in springwood and the dream world

if you read all this please dont give a long ass reason why you agree or disagree. so if you reply just say you agree or disagree. if you dont fell free to curse me to hell, i really ont give a fuck.

later.

and PvsA is what ? :D

kung-fu-jesus 03-18-2005 12:58 PM

both a versus film and it belongs in the preditor franchise as a sequel to preditor 2( via a time line and the preditor honor code is depicted again), and a prequel to alien( it explanes how and why the aliens were in space). thats all im going into it cause im not boad enough to type a long ass response. that pretty much sumes it up any way

and to the urgeok your probibly right i was really board and i got tierd of people bitching over where the movie belonged franchise wise.

hey, it shut my friends up last night. and yes i am very pleasant young man.
