Flayed One was saying they watched Ginger Snaps...... Again. As in, they watched Ginger Snaps for not the first time.

Those films are called Ginger Snaps, Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed and Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning. They haven't gotten around to making Ginger Snaps Again yet, but I'm sure if they keep making money, it won't be too far off.

urgeok 02-10-2006 08:59 AM

although i have all 3, i've only watched the 1st 2 so far and i've enjoyed them both.

being Canadian .. it's manditory that i like them :D

seriously - this is pretty good stuff ... you should see the normal crap that comes out of this country. (a result of all our talent constantly migrating to the USA where they actually get paid for their work)

Seven

I bought this movie for my b-day last August and just now watched it for the first time. And I have to say, the hype was much needed. Seven is an expertly crafted crime-thriller, superbly acted, well written, and greatly directed. I loved this movie and is now my seventh favorite movie (no pun intended).

Capote

Ill get the bad of this film out of the way first. The fact that Bennett Miller is new to directing really shows; most scenes seem to be cut off early, and there is no flow between scenes. He by no means desers the Oscar nomination, IMO. Also, in some parts near the first and, less frquently, throughout the film, the script seemed forced. Capote's line about being "pegged" would have fit perfectly later in the movie, but was totally out of place when it was said. Now lets move on to the good stuff, shall we? Though the praise is directed almost solely toward Hoffman, I think the entire cast deserves a round of applause and a pat on the back. Though I personally dont think it was Oscar-worthy, Hoffman did put in a great performance, hindered only by some fairly weak sections of the script. In my humble opinion however, Cliffton Collins Jr. was the best actor involved by a long shot. I dont think I blinked once during his monologue near the end; his tone and expression...wow. I dont think this film deserves any of the Oscars it's nominated for, however Collins certainly should have got a nod for Supporting Actor. His performance serously blew me away.

Overall, this is a great movie. Starts out slow, but from the introduction of Perry Smith onward, you wont want to miss a second.

Trust me, it gets old.

I love the movie to death, but after about the 25th viewing I want to vomit just thinking about it. And I'm being dead serious. It makes me sick.

Doom

I've been playing a game of cat & mouse with Doom since it's release on Tuesday. BlockBuster got very few copies, and there just as pissed as I am! But, I finally got my copy today. Yes, I have played Doom before. I have it for the PC,a nd though I don't play it as much as the next guy would, when I do finally play it, I'm usually doing the deed for about 12 hours straight. Now, this movie didn't follow the game all to well, but it still kept to the shoot-em-up theme. Sure, the brother-sister shit could've stayed out of the story, and the finale wasn't good at all. I won't ruin it for you, but I'll say it wasn't what I went into Doom to see. But, overall, Doom did deliver in the action scene, and is a good popcorn flick.

A Shot in the Dark

This is as close to perfect as comedies get. With Sellers near top form, this is by far the crown jewel of the Pink Panther saga. The laughs are frequent and always hilarious, totally over-the-top in some places, and hilariously sublte in others. Easily the funiest movie Ive ever seen, and it couldnt come recomened any higher.
