Speaking of sexism, it seems like in the old days people didn't take advantage of females like they do now.
Take prostitution for example. Back in the days when it was tolerated it was usually women who ran and owned the local brothels. They looked out for their girls and made sure they were taken care of and if a customer caused any trouble they would toss his ass out. But now it's always male pimps with connections to organized crime and human trafficking who run these prostitutes. Young girls (and even boys) are kidnapped off the streets and forced into selling their bodies by men who keep all of the money and in return give them drugs and force them to live in such horrible conditions. Many of these modern-day prostitutes end up dead because of this. Women in the old days may not have had the right to vote, but at least they weren't being taken advantage of the way they are now. |
you're wrong there man. women had it terribly all through history up until the last century. In the older days women were treated like animals and raped and murdered and whatever else the men's self it whenever they saw fit to do it and there were no laws to prevent them from doing so. I mean women have spent the better part of History being completely victimized and whatever rather disgusting despicable unspeakable words you can think of. it does still happen in parts of the world but now there are still certain laws in place and for the few places where there are no laws, They all deserve to be drugged out in the streets and shot in the head execution-style if you ask me. This world has no Law and Order in it anymore and extreme and harsh punishments Should be brought back like the days of the medieval torture methods. I believe in an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. If someone slaps you, don't turn the other cheek, with all of your might strike their other cheek off their faces.
As for Pimps, I wonder if maybe they started as a form of security for the women but now I have no idea considering how I see some of these guys treating The women who work for them. it tells me they are the kind of men who would never get involved in a one-on-one fist fight with another man without powering and simultaneously pissing and shitting themself all along crying like a Little kid. that's how cowardly men feel powerful. Men who control him beat women do it because they can't do it to other men because they are Completely Weak and Powerless to stand up to someone they leave you as an equal or stronger than them. |

In fact the brothels in New Orleans were notorious for murdering the customers who caused trouble for the ladies who worked there. Those women would slit your throat and then take everything valuable you had on you. And the pimps who run prostitutes today are more dangerous than you seem to realize. They keep those women working for them by threatening to murder their families if they go running to the authorities and they murder their own women all the time, and they will have the guys who work for them murdered too. Human traffickers are no joking matter. |
Believe me I know exactly what you mean. I'm living in one of the hubs and Mecca's for prostitution right now and I see pimps literally dragging their women around all the time and then hearing them get mad and yell at them because they don't call them Daddy. it makes me sick and makes me wish that if people were going to get Brave and go out and shoot a bunch of people they would at least do it vigilante-style and kill these worthless pimps. I mean seriously... How come people that go nuts have to go shoot up schools and places with innocent people when there are literally diseases walking this Earth that would love nothing more than to kill us all simply because they think it would be funny because their brains won't allow them to think anything otherwise.

I still have to wait until next May before I can qualify for in state college tuition, but once I am able to do that I have decided what I want to do. I'm going to finish my associate's degree and then I'm going to transfer to UNLV and study creative writing. They offer from a Degree up to a doctor of literature. I realize that doctor degree is a pipe dream but I plan to push this as far as I possibly can and push myself harder than I have ever push myself towards anything and I want to apply what I learn pursuing my degree in my writing and Use it to possibly become a teacher of literature someday. That would be amazing for me!

. I have already wasted way too much of my life. I turned 37 years old and just over three weeks so it's time for me to start to take charge of my life instead of just sitting around feeling sorry for myself and waiting for the world to just hand me something because let's face the facts, that's not going to happen. |
37!?...Shoot, you better apply to the nursin' home instead of college you old fart.

I used to work in a nursing home. It was always so depressing whenever a patient died and we had to break the news to their roomates.

I am a frayed and nibbled survivor in a fallen world, and I am getting along.
I am aging and eaten and have done my share of eating too. I am not washed and beautiful in control of a shining world in which everything fits, but instead I am wandering awed about on a splintered wreck I've come to care for. Whose gnawed trees trees breathe a delicate air, whose bloodied and scarred creatures are my dearest companions, and whose beauty bats and shines not in its imperfections but overwhelmingly in spite of them. |

In my euphoric state I think I realized my dream. I want to be a journalist who can travel the world and explore new places and cultures like Anthony Bourdain and be able to write about them like Hunter S Thompson, without a biased opinion and being able to show the positives and negatives to everything rather than sugar coating everything and putting on a false pretense. That's what's wrong with this world, too many falsehoods and I want to change that by making the world more aware of what it is doing to itself, but also all the beauty that really lies out there and people are just willing to open their eyes and look for it. |
Well I always believed that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You can't make everybody respect your opinion on all the different cultures in the world because people are always going to have different preferences. It's better to educate people on the different cultures than it is to give an honest unbiased opinion about all of them. A real opinion should be left out of things like that.

I just watched Santa Clause and the Ice Cream Bunny on Rifftrax.
To think that my mom was actually a little kid in the decade when that movie was made. Good thing so many people probably never actually saw the movie. ::big grin:: I kind of wish I could have visited that Pirate World amusement park though...... That horse ride looked fun! |

Well I had quite the day... today was supposed to be my first therapy session and it was clear on the west side of the city. It was so out west that it was literally the last bus stop on that road. not long after I left my apartment I got a text from a therapist telling me her child was sick and she was going to be an hour late. I was a little annoyed as I was going to be arriving a little early anyway but I didn't really let it bother me. I got to the place and had the most wonderful view of Mount Charleston so I took a couple pictures and then went inside and filled out my paperwork and waited. about 45 minutes before the appointment was supposed to start I got a second text from the therapist telling me that she couldn't find a babysitter for her child and that even she is getting sick. She apologized and told me that once she can reschedule that my first appointment will be free for the inconvenience so I guess I can't be too upset or think that she was just sticking around with me. This therapy place I go to is for young interns who just graduated and are using the place to gain experience and credentials before going and working in bigger offices.
so on my way back home, I was at the bus stop waiting and There was this black guy who asked when the next bus was coming. There were a few others at the bus stop but I had just looked For myself so I told him. he then started saying something smart ass about how no one else would answer him and then another white guy who was waiting on the bus said something completely non-confrontational, more or less just agreeing to the conversation but the black guy took it as confrontational and claimed the guy interrupted our conversation which I was unaware we were having but regardless the black guy got in the white guy's face and put his fingers right in his face and even at one point Threatened to pull a gun out of his backpack. The white guy had visible prison tattoos and even told him that he just got done doing 5 years I was ready to beat his ass because he started taking his rings off and his watch off and I thought it was going to get real for a minute but the black guy just kept screaming and calling him cracker while all along Saying shit like, you were interrupting my conversation with my friend. I don't know this guy and I hated the fact that he kept bringing me into it and I really didn't appreciate the fact that he was sitting there slurring me as well but then also making Some kind of assumption that I am his friend. this is ridiculous. Racism is one thing but disrespect Is another. It's fucking people like this That is making this country so terrible. I mean I may be legally blind but I am considering going and getting registered to carry a gun since people Do that to me. The first mention of a gun to me I would shove mind right in their face and tell them to shut the fuck up or do something and if The first mention of a gun to me I would shove mind right in their face and tell them to shut the fuck up or do something and if they pull a gun on me, you bet your ass I would shoot them dead in self-defense. I'm not scared of them. |
You know what I realized about black people a long time ago? They are just as human as everybody else. Some are decent people and some are just plain bad people. But it seems to me like conservatives think they are all bad people who commit crimes and liberals think they are all innocent victims of white oppression. It's like nobody wants to accept the fact that they can be either good or bad. And I bet the ones who really are decent people would have been very offended by how that guy was acting on the bus. They hate thugs like him just as much as white people do.
|
Believe me I know what you mean, but since I have been in Las Vegas I have seen far too many occasions where these thugs completely take things out of context and some weird warped alternative reality kind of way that otherwise makes no sense and get in people's faces acting like they want to murder them And it has always and I mean always been a black person doing it to a white person. Why? I blame the parents for not raising their kids to know the difference between right and wrong and I want to know at what point is someone going to stop and see what this is doing to our country. All of this race war shit is making everyone paranoid which makes everyone trigger happy which makes everyone a lot more tempted by the mainstream media to put a bullet in someone without question thinking they are secretly wanting to do the same the say causes panic and fear and chaos. At what point will the world stop being so fucking stupid and naive? Well I do have my opinions, I don't consider myself a racist which is why I'm not really viewing this as a racist thing. I'm sure that guy would have went off on anyone no matter what color they were if he happens to get rubbed the wrong way by them but I think people like that who are so adamant about showing such blatant and chaotic disrespect need to have their teeth knocked down their throat and be shown that their color doesn't Define who they are or what they can and can't do and despite their mile-high egos, they are not God. When are people going to stand up for themselves and start teaching these motherfuckers that they can't just running around taking shit's on whoever they want. there was a time when America didn't work that way and it needs to start working that way again because we are becoming too scared and letting these parasites run over top of us and I'm not just talking about black people I'm talking about anyone who has to leech off of any possible thing they can because they are too pathetic to do anything for their own lives without taking from others whether it be possessions or emotions. To quote Billy Corgan, the world is a vampire.

Wow...ya know I been livin' in MT. for about 25 years, but I was born in OH.
Racial tensions are a given..don't matter if you cool or not cool on the streets it don't mean shit....Riser come on man, you ain't no mark. That guy was just an agitator/bullshit artist tryin' to see what your made of that's all..Maybe you should start with a stun gun since you blind. |
It just deeply sickens me that the human race has come to the point where people not only act like that, they do it at such a high alarming rate that it is literally altering the state of mind of the American population at Large. That is not normal and in a way could be considered a form of terrorism.

You know I'm so lucky I've never had to experience anything like that. I've lived in Georgia and Florida all my life and there are a lot of black people living in these states and we even have your gang banging thugs too, and we have your biker gangs like the Outlaws (there's actually an Outlaw motorcycle club up the road from where I currently live) but from what I understand these guys don't compare to the ones in other states. They don't go out of their way to cause problems on the streets for people mostly everybody just kind of keeps to themselves and they only give you trouble if you actually get involved with them like doing illegal stuff.
One of my teachers in high school who was a black woman explained that she grew up in a rough neighborhood in Florida but she never had any problems with thugs because as long as you stick to your own neighborhood they don't really cause you any problems. But I guess that really only applies to the kind of places where I live. I'm guessing it's much worse in states like Nevada. |
And speaking of therapists, the doctors I always see about my Bipolar Disorder really suck. One lady actually tried to tell me that anger problems are not a symptom of bipolar disorder, and she had the nerve to try and tell me that I have no empathy. That stupid bitch...
I think it's these arrogant doctors who look down on their patients and refuse to accept responsibility for when they screw up their diagnosis and treatment who really don't have any empathy. Some people shouldn't be allowed to become doctors in my opinion. |

And they all act exactly the same everywhere which leads me to believe that that's just how they mentally are. I mean I have seen plenty of white people lash out in many different ways as well but not like this and not even a percentage of a fraction of the volume I see black people doing it which leads me to believe that it is just how they are wired internally which also leads me to believe if that's true, regardless of color, people with that kind of mindset need to be taken as a serious threat. It's time everyone stands up to these people and fight back because this country has gone to shit and it seems to me like there are more people rising up everyday to further destroy it then there are people that is a problem. |

Where I live you'll see crackwhores and methwhores (some black and some white) who will walk on the side of the road late at night with their kids and not even pay attention to the cars speeding past their kids as they are playing in the streets. Families that are impoverished tend to not look after their kids as good as families with money who live in nice respectable homes. I should know because I come from an impoverished family myself. |
I didn't talk to anyone but when I got off the bus to go to my therapist office, a few hours before the other incident I was telling you about, I couldn't find the office at first and I ended up wandering into a little subdivision residential area and that was a very nice part of town where a huge Golf Course was right next to the bus stop. I walk to the parking lot of an animal hospital where they actually had animal ambulances and everything and I ended up on a street with a bunch of nice houses. There wasn't anyone around except in one of the driveways someone had their car door open and had music playing. It seems like one of those areas where everyone is cool with one another but if someone came in there starting some shit things would get real really fast. I get what you are saying and I sometimes get very frustrated and say a lot of shit out of anger. It just hurts to see what the current state is.

Days of absence sad and dreary, clothed in sorrow's dark array.
Days of absence I am weary, she I love is far away. |
A friend of mine asked if I had tried online dating.....never have... really didn't dig what I found, seems like you need a credit card and a glamour shot to get in. No diversity, just a fuckin' computer program sortin' me out by color and age.
So I'm like fuck it...took a casual head shot in my robe, and on the profile I said... Born in the year of the Rat, fascinated by horror and macabre, lived I MT. 25 years, I have a pagan ideology and I'm heavy into music, wildlife, and open space. I don't really dig this online thing, let's be pen pals. Drop me a line anytime here go my addy.... |
I don't trust online dating. It feels so discriminating like "you can only date the people we pick out for you!" and I don't feel like real love should have any boundaries. Also many of the people who use those services are either con artists or serial killers trying to take advantage of the poor lonely people who are looking for love on the internet. It's so easy to lie about who you really are when you are hiding behind a computer screen.
My best friend got scammed really bad by a girl who took $500 from him and had him convinced that she was going to fly to California to meet him and marry him and have kids and all that crap. |
Dating sites aren't necessarily a scam because they are fulfilling their end of the bargain. You are paying them for them to allow you to meet women with similar interests. You are not paying for the women to talk to you. That is all on them and how you present yourself. I will say that you will meet some of the most despicable women there are on dating sites who can get pretty adamant about what they think of your looks. I have used Plenty of Fish for a few years now because it is free and I have had a weekend fling and then a short relationship from that website But they were both with women I didn't find attractive because literally every woman on that website I ever messaged that I found attractive would either ignore my messages, block me or tell me I'm too ugly and for me to fuck off. that's what really pisses me off about women who always have to bring the looks factor into it. I tried to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and a chance but women just want a man who looks good first and then wait to see if something grows out of it because they are so superficial and shallow, they're plastic brain cells won't allow them to think normal like A woman who actually has standards and morals. I think it's pretty fucking insulting and a double standard that Women hold us to such high regards when it comes to looks but if a man says anything about a woman's looks we are dirt and that whole cliche of, don't worry you will find someone, makes me Sick. sorry, I don't mean to rant and complain considering what some of the members here are going through at the moment, it just really Burns me that the image Society puts into women's heads nowadays That nothing is unconditional and that is a load of horseshit. I feel the media has completely brainwashed and desensitized the human psyche.
