Yakuza Apocalypse (2015)

This was all kinds of crazy. Might be normal by Asian standards but I haven't seen that many. But it was the weirdest one I saw.

I think one of the sequels was ok. But it's been a while ago so I could be wrong.
Passed on the last one when I read it's PG-13.

Excellent little Polish horror film.

The movie's Belgian. The languages the spoke in the movie were Dutch and French. Polish has that typical Eastern Europe sound. But depending on where you're from, it might sound the same I guess.

"My Super Psycho Sweet 16" 7/10

A little better than the average slasher even tho the killings are quite average and it takes forever before the heads starts rolling. But it is quite fast paced and the bitch in this flick is so delightfully bitchy she's entertainment all on her own.

It doesn't get much better than Dourif when it comes to playing a psycho.

I usually never watch horror comedy films cause I'm a miserable fuck but I'm in this Horror Movie Draft on Bloody~Disgusting and this was someones choice soo I watched it. I was pleasantly surprised. ::big grin::

slow but a truly amazing story of trying to keep sane and never giving up. Always check the front door.

Roiffalo 10-11-2015 02:50 AM

Tremors 5
I like Jamie Kennedy. And I like Tremors. ...I'm still debating on how I feel about them being together. Not the best sequel but not the worst I guess. This movie had a weird obsession with pee...

The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia
I really really liked it.

Yeah that was a great flic. Annoyingly I can not remember the end, but I think it was basically SPOILER: a Jacob's Ladder ending. Am I right?

The Final Girls (2015)

So much wasted potential... Could've been great but too much drama and a PG-13 rating ruined it for me.

I actually liked the drama part for once. Found it quite touching.

The Final Girls might end up in my top 3 best horror movies of 2015.

The Babadook

Rewatching with the girlfriend. Certainly enjoyed it more the second time around with her fear of horror movies.

I wouldn't have bothered me if the overtal tone of the movie was serious.
But in this case I thought it didn't mix well with the comedy.

Such a creepy flick. One of my more recent favorites.

The first bad review I've heard about this one. I'll be checking it out as soon as I can.

Watched Seed of Chucky again last night. Kills me every time! John Waters showing up in this just puts the biggest smile on my face. " God bless the little people "

Gonna agree 100% on this. If you're gonna spoof or pay homage to 80s horror....it has to be rated R.

Was disappointed in this one

2/10, -1 for the unnecessary teenage girl cleavage.

Speaking of we just watched Tremors again.

THE PIANO (2002)-Visually stunning movie that goes on to long, but worth seeing. ***

SerialKiller 10-13-2015 02:32 PM

The Gallows-2015. I liked the idea, just not the movie.

Vacation (2015)
A/B
Laughed out loud several times.
I guess it gets so much bad reviews because people expect something more similar to the original series.
But that's what you get when you attach known movie franchises to new movies that don't really need it and aren't that similar to the originals.

The Bloofer Lady 10-13-2015 06:16 PM

SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION 1990

It would be hard to explain the plot of this movie...I'm still trying to figure it out myself. A man is able to cause other people to burst into flames as a result of atomic bomb tests his parents took part in years earlier....I think.

4/l0

So many today:
The Crazies remake (better than people give it credit for)
Silent Hill
The Mist
John Dies At The End

JDAtE is awesome. Never mind the author has edited several articles I've written, it's fun and most importantly, different

Roiffalo 10-13-2015 11:10 PM

Puppet Master 3
I think I like this one best so far..

LOL- i really didn't, but not something I'd seek out. Most people loved Tremors (& I'm happy they enjoyed it), but I thought it was an avg time waster.

Roiffalo 10-14-2015 01:54 AM

Blood Moon

...I've never been discouraged in less than five seconds into a movie before.
After the initial shock of 'horse broke its leg', I was fine watching it. Cowboys and Werewolves. That's a good time. Story was fine. Some characters were entertaining, rest were bland as bread. Werewolf looked good, I always approve of a suit and traditional effects.

"The Gift" 8/10

Many awkvard scenes, but a good thriller nevertheless. Great performances from all 3 in the lead roles. Nice to see Jason Bateman in something else than dramas and comedies.

Would've liked some more extremeties at the end. Didn't quite feel the right person got what he deserved. But meh... still a good watch.

Ginger Snaps. Crazy good werewolf flick. Haven't seen it in about two years.

Vodstok 10-15-2015 12:37 AM

Odd Thomas and Wyrmwood

I'd recommend them to anyone. They're both solid movies

Queen of Earth (2015)

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...psxvddgxgp.jpg

Slow burn but a quite subtle psychological DRAMA with great performances from the two lead characters. Liked its 70s vintage color & tone all over with good cinematography & the kind of Bergman & Polanski inspired film making .

In Final Girl, he was the bad guy but with the Final Girls, he played the "final boy" role :D

Yeah I liked the ending too, but I also did not like what caused it.

Spoiler for Odd Thomas:

I liked the dynamic between thomas and his girlfriend, her dying ruined that aspect and took away from the film. I realize it was required for him to have to go through his mourning period while she was a ghost, but I'd rather it have been someone else who died. Not as in her dying was powerful/effective, but a back and forth important to the the charcter of the film itself.
