i've been meaning to buy this for quite some time.

i have this one. i remember being actually shocked when i saw the clarity of the picture. incredibly well-done.

i have their "restored authorized edition" of the cabinet of dr. caligari as well, which is also super impressive.

i'd love to see these films in proper releases.
all i have are those public domain 1$ shitty versions - pretty much unwatchable

yeah, i had those for the longest time. scrambled black-and-white mess, ugh...those are wretched.
the kino releases are amazing. caligari is even tinted according to original specifications.

In certain ways, I'm all for the dollaring of classic cinema. Kino and Criterion do good work, but the $1 transfer serves a pretty cool purpose.

Yep, that's where we ordered from. Still planning on ordering Masters of Horror season 1, and Bava Volume 1, but I have to wait to see what the money situation is after this weekend. I'm on a limited budget for movies and books....*sighs* ;)
