THE LADY IN WHITE (1988). Really good ghost story/coming of age film with good performances (although the "comedy relief" of the older brother/grandfather wears thin quick) and some almost Lewton-esque scenes . Most people don't seem to know about this and it deserves a wider audience, in my opinion. ****

THE VAMPIRE LOVERS (1970). After seeing Hammerfan's photo of Ingrid Pitt (from WHERE EAGLES DARE) decided to break out the DVD again. Hammer's money situation was starting to give their films a threadbare look at this time, but still a lively good time. Ingrid was so beautiful that it hurt as well as being one ferocious vampires. Add Peter Cushing and You really can't go wrong here. ***

The Incredible Two Headed Transplant - This is the first movie I ever remember watching on my own on the Saturday afternoon show. I had a whole bunch of yard work to do the other day and just literally walked past the tv and it was starting - so much for the yardwork!::shocked:: |

So you ended up of two minds on the yardwork? |
THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD (1970). Love this film...so silly, but so hard to resist,,,kind of like half price Halloween candy! Lots of my favorite actors in here (Ingrid, Peter< Christopher, Denholm) and pretty spooky in places, but lots of laughs, particularly in "The Cloak". ****

Blood for Dracula- 1974. I've been looking for this movie everywhere. So glad I found it!

STAR TREK (1979). Despite a wonderful Jerry Goldsmith score and good Trumball/Dykstra FX, this a sluggish haul indeed and quite a missed opportunity. Even my Wife, who loves the original series was fidgeting and looking around...have heard THE WRATH OF KHAN is better and will see when it arrives. **

Wrath of Khan was the best of the original cast. It had good balance. I think you both will like it a lot. There's aspects of it that haven't aged well, but it's still the best. First Contact is worthy challenger. |
AMMAVASAI IRAVIL 1989
A bollywood version of 1985's Fright Night. I'd been looking for this for awhile. There are no subs but I've seen FN enough times so that wasn't a problem. Totally bollywood but pretty true to the original. Not bad. |

Eye in the Labyrinth aka L'occhio nel labirinto (1972)
http://i65.tinypic.com/2jbl5vl.jpg Very average Giallo featuring Adolfo Celi, Thunderball (1965) villain! >>: C |
Running Man 1987
3/10 Worthwhile warning concepts, poor film. The action seemed like 75% of the film, and it's dreadfully boring. Richard Dawson does a great job reprising his Family Feud gameshow host bit. Unfortunately a waste of effort. |

Help from horror fans - a name for the helpless victim in a movie
Hello
Need your help. What would be the best name to give the helpless victim in a horror movie. Suggestion = prey, hero, thanks a million!::love:: |
WES CRAVEN'S CHILLER 1985
A wealthy widow has had her son frozen after his untimely death. Fast forward ten years later and he is brought back to life without a soul. Sort of a made-for-tv feel to it but I liked it. |

I wouldn't think any likes of Org Series Eps is clique. Tribbles was a lot of fun. I liked 'I, Mudd' too. Mudd sure carries a room, doesn't he? I loved the humor, but probably no surprise, I liked some of the more serious eps: "Space Seed", "The Corbomite Maneuver", "Balance of Terror", "The Immunity Syndrome", "The Doomsday Machine", "Wink of an Eye" and "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" |

WES CRAVEN'S NIGHT VISIONS 1990
A curmudgeonly police officer and a schizophrenic young woman join forces to solve a rash of murders. Pretty lame. |
Purple Rain-1984. Still one of my favorites. IDC that people call it cheesy, it's from the 80s! Cheese is good. ::big grin::
The Company of Wolves-1984. 7/10 |

Escape From the Planet of the Apes 1971

MST3K LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK 2 1984
To be fair, everything goes better with Mystery Science Theater. A professor and 3 students camp out in the swamps of Arkansas in search of the boggy Creek monster. It was hilarious. |
STAR TREK2:THE WRATH OF KHAN (1982). Well, it looks like the HORROR.COM posters were correct in giving higher marks. The wife and I both liked this and found Ricardo wonderfully evil. ***1/2
We have the original series and like quite a few, although I'm drawing a blank on a lot of the names, but "The Ultimate Computer" episode (not sure if the title is correct) with William Marshall as the scientist was very good. Told my wife I would love to see an episode where things are calm and Bones decides to throw Spock a birthday party with cake, balloons and punch that Bones gets a little tipsy on making sure it's OK. Spock would typically say how it was not "Logical" and Bones would be pissed and yell "Could You once show a Little GRATITUDE?" |
"Legend" 8/10
I wonder if anyone involved was actually proud of being part of this movie. I doubt Tom Cruise was. Damn did he look stupid. His acting wasn't much better. Still one of the best fantasy flicks of the 80s together with Labyrinth and Neverending Story. |

MST3K HOBGOBLIN 1988 Can't stop watch Mystery Science Theater now. This movie literally puked on the screen but the narrative was worth it. |

I've read there's 3 different versions of the movie. Do you know if the difference between them is just the soundtrack? |
